FRONTLINE PLUS PRODUCT INFORMATION
Frontline is applied by squeezing a small tube of the Frontline formula onto an animal’s back, usually between the shoulder blades. Unlike some other formulas, Frontline Plus only needs to be applied to a single spot on an animal’s skin in order to be effective. According to test result data, Frontline is able to kill 100% of all adult fleas on a pet’s skin within twelve hours after the initial application. In addition to this, Frontline Plus also works to break the flea’s life cycle, which helps to prevent future infestations. The only currently recorded side effect that is officially associated with application of Frontline brand flea control product is that there is a chance of skin irritation at the application site. This side effect is usually related to a pet having a certain sensitivity to the ingredients used in Frontline’s formula. The active ingredient in Frontline brand flea control products is cited as being Fipronil, a general-spectrum insecticide that acts on a flea’s central nervous system. Frontline Plus also contains S Methoprene, another insecticidal product commonly used in flea control products.

Hi Gloria
Thanks for stopping by and for the interesting information on how you buy your pet meds and your use of Frontline Topspot for indoor cats.

Wow. I buy all my animal-use products from their Veterinarian – that’s what vets are for. Did you buy your Frontline/Frontline Plus online? Who knows what temperature and other conditions the products are subjected to in transit? Anyway, I have a kennel. I have used Frontline on the cats for ages. Incidentally, as these cats do not go outdoors I use Frontline Topspot, not Frontline Plus. There’s no need for the additional tick- and other-killing chemicals since my cats aren’t exposed to them, and, it’s always best to avoid use of chemicals unless necessary and the benefit/risk ratio is to the benefit of the animal. In either case, the kill is complete. I had started with Advantage but the smell was something I didn’t want to deal with and the kill rate was no better than Frontline. Just additional information for you!
Thanks Jeanne for stopping by my blog, but I’m not Frontline Plus!
I am just an independent blog trying to provide useful information on pet medication supplies and in particular on flea and tick protection.
If you want to contact the manufacturer of Frontline Plus, you should find the contact information on the packaging.
